£5,000 worth of fishing equipment stolen

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of £5,000 worth of fishing equipment from a shed in Redditch.
It happened between 8pm on Wednesday, June 22 and 10.50am on Thursday, June 23 in Yardley Close in the Winyates area.
It is possible that the offenders may try to sell on the fishing equipment and therefore police are eager to hear from anyone who may have been offered fishing equipment for sale.
Peter Aston, crime risk advisor, said: “Shed owners should ensure they have sufficient security in place to prevent their belongings from being stolen.
“A garden crime leaflet called Tips to Nip Garden Crime in the Bud is available from police stations and garden centres in the West Mercia are or can be downloaded from the force's website at www.westmercia.police.uk.”
Anyone with information can call 0300 333 3000, quoting incident reference 198-S-230611, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
