Garden Crimes hit Wales

10:27am Monday 27th October 2008

Police are investigating a spate of garden crime which took place in Pembrokeshire over the weekend.

In the early hours of Saturday September 25th a large garden ornament worth £50 was smashed outside a property in Lindsway Park Haverfordwest. Other plant pots and garden ornaments were also moved round in the garden of the property causing the owners considerable nuisance.

In two separate and probably unrelated incidents a bench and garden ornaments were stolen from gardens in Saundersfoot on the same night.

Sometime between 6pm on Friday and 10am the following morning a concrete bench with squirrel legs was stolen from a front garden of a property on Stammers Road. The same night thieves entered the front garden of a property on Brewery Terrace and removed a two foot concrete garden ornament of a Yorkshire terrier dog.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information on any of these crimes is asked to dial 0845 330 2000 and either ask for Haverfordwest police station or PC Alex Jones 1045 at Tenby police station.
